After reviewing quotes for our customers, we found that registration-only valuations didn’t always reflect a vehicle’s value. That’s why we speak to you about its condition before quoting, or review the details you provide before emailing an offer.
A car that runs well, has a valid MOT and has no known faults may be worth more than scrap, depending on its age, mileage, condition and resale potential. It may be suitable for a trade or retail buyer instead of scrapping. If we can offer more than scrap value, we will.
For vehicles suitable for resale, our offer is a purchase price from MBR—not the full retail selling price.
