MBR SCRAP MY CARMANCHESTER

TWO ROUTES. HELP CHOOSING YOURS.

Sell or Scrap
Your Car?

Some cars have more miles ahead. Others have reached the end of the road. Tell us about yours and we can help you choose the right next step.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Choose a starting point.

A fault, expired MOT or non-running engine does not automatically make a car scrap. Its overall condition and potential for repair matter too.

REUSE OR REPAIR

Sell your car

For a vehicle that could be driven again, either as it is or after suitable repairs.

  • You are replacing a usable car.
  • It has faults or damage but may be repairable.
  • You want the team to consider it as a vehicle for resale.

Send its details and condition. The team reviews your enquiry and contacts you to discuss it; the form does not give an instant valuation.

END-OF-LIFE RECYCLING

Scrap your car

For a vehicle at the end of its useful life, where reuse or repair is no longer a suitable option.

  • Repairs may no longer be worthwhile.
  • Serious deterioration has brought its use to an end.
  • You are ready to arrange collection for recycling.

Start a scrap enquiry using your registration and collection postcode, then send your contact details. Our team will review your details and contact you by phone or email about your quote. Tell us about any damage, missing parts or access issues.

WHAT MBR CAN CONSIDER

We buy more than perfect vehicles.

Cars, vans and motorbikes of all ages and conditions can be worth asking about.

Tell us what you have

Everyday vehicles, classics, high-mileage cars, MOT failures, non-runners and accident-damaged vehicles can all be considered.

We look at the full picture

Condition, repair potential and demand all matter. Where a vehicle is viable for repair or resale, it may be worth more than scrap value.

A CLEAR HANDOVER

What changes between selling and scrapping?

Does a car have to run to be considered for sale?

Not necessarily. A non-running car may still have repair potential. Describe its condition honestly so the team can review it. An enquiry does not guarantee an offer.

What happens if the car is scrapped?

End-of-life vehicles must be scrapped at an authorised treatment facility (ATF). A car that is completely scrapped receives a Certificate of Destruction; a vehicle repaired for resale does not.

Do I still need to tell DVLA?

Yes. Whether you sell or scrap, you must notify DVLA when you hand over the vehicle. Keep the handover details and follow the correct process, including the postal route if you do not have a V5C.

How do I prepare for collection?

Gather any V5C and keys, check the required ID with the team, remove your belongings and explain access to the car. If you want to retain a private registration, arrange it before the sale or scrap handover.
